Field Trip Fund Application Form

The purpose of the Field Trip Fund is to provide assistance to K-12 educators, who are planning field trips to Civil War, War of 1812, or Revolutionary War battlefields, museums, or related historic sites.

With our current funding and number of applications, fewer than half of applications are approved. Approved trips can be reimbursed for as little as $250 or as much as $1,500.

By submitting an application, you will be put onto the Civil War Trust's email list.

Question - Required - I understand that field trip funding may be revoked by the Civil War Trust at any time for the following reason(s): post-approval trip date change, post-approval destination change, falsified receipts, abuse of funds, excessive guide fees, class/teacher not fulfilling their required photo, video, and thank you note requirements.

Question - Required - To receive your reimbursement, you must submit a reimbursement form, receipts, a 30 thirty second thank you video, at least seven (7) rights-free photos of your trip, and at least five (5) thank you notes from your students within five business days after your field trip.
